Where your appointment will take place
Dr Joshi’s current practice is Advanced Breast Care at Lucknow Imaging Centre. Confirm the location, examination and appointment before arranging your journey.
Confirm before booking travel
Explain the reason for the visit and the examination or procedure mentioned in your referral. Ask whether it can be arranged at the practice and whether a consultation or additional assessment is needed first.
Confirm the date, time, exact location and service before travelling. An appointment enquiry is not a confirmed appointment.
- Check which records the team needs to review.
- Ask how much time to allow for the planned visit.
- Ask whether a separate visit may be required for further imaging or sampling.
- Keep the confirmed contact details with your travel documents.
Bring reports and the original imaging
Bring your referral if available, previous breast imaging reports and the original films or digital imaging files when available. Include relevant biopsy, pathology and surgery reports.
Written reports and original images provide different information. Ask which formats the team can review before you travel. If records are missing, explain this rather than assuming a photograph of a report contains everything needed.
Prepare for the planned examination
Follow the instructions given for your particular examination or procedure. Tell the team about medicines, allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, implants or previous breast procedures when relevant.
Do not start fasting or stop medication simply because you are travelling for imaging. Ask the team to clarify any preparation instructions you have not understood.
Discuss accompaniment and the return journey
Ask whether someone should accompany you and whether your planned procedure may affect driving or activities afterwards. Discuss any mobility or access needs before the visit.
Make travel arrangements around confirmed clinical advice. Accommodation, transport and same-day completion are not included or promised by this website.
Plan how results and follow-up will work
Before leaving, ask when and how the report is expected, who will discuss it with you and whether you need to return. Imaging and laboratory results may follow different timelines.
Keep your referring clinician informed. Ask how recommended next steps will be coordinated after you return home. Do not assume that all results, further procedures or follow-up can be completed on the same day or remotely.
Common questions
Can everything be completed in one visit?
This cannot be promised. The plan depends on the clinical assessment, available appointments and whether additional imaging or laboratory testing is required.
Do I need a referral?
Bring a referral if you have one. Explain the reason for the visit when contacting the practice and ask what is needed for the planned examination or procedure.
Can I arrange remote follow-up?
Ask the practice how your results and next steps will be discussed. Remote follow-up is not promised; arrangements need to be confirmed for your situation.
Travel after the appointment is confirmed
Confirm the location and date, organise your earlier records and clarify preparation and follow-up before setting out.
